600 × 400?

We are proud to announce the new 2022 S-Class will be arriving at Mercedes-Benz of Lancaster in the near future. The much-anticipated S-Class provides a luxurious driving experience highlighted by superior handling, considerable power and a litany of high-tech niceties. Let’s take a closer look at what the new S-Class has in store for Lancaster-area drivers.

A Look Under the Hood of the ’22 S-Class

The new S-Class has more power than most drivers need to wheel around town with grace, agility and speed. However, there will inevitably be some on-road challenges that require rapid acceleration to prevent a collision. Even if you don’t tap into the 429 horses of power under the hood of the new S-Class, you will rest easy knowing it’s there if you need it. This turbocharged 3.0-liter engine is an inline-6 with 384 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with an EQ Boost hybrid system, ramping up performance all the more. Step it on up to the S580 and you will have a 4.0-liter V-8 twin-turbo engine with 496 horses and a whopping 5416 pound-feet of torque. There is even a S560e plug-in hybrid version in the pipeline that will likely feature an inline-6 engine along with an electric motor that provides 60 miles of range along with 500 horses. The Mercedes-Maybach S680 is at the top of the S-Class hierarchy. This beast of a driving machine has a 12-cylinder turbocharged engine with 6.0-liters that generates 603 horses and an impressive 664 pound-feet of torque.

An Interior Fit for Royalty

The Maybach has one of the classiest interiors around. Highlighted by Maybach pedals and Maybach emblems on the seats, the vehicle has just about everything a driver could hope for. There is even a refrigerator along with champagne flutes on the S680. All in all, the S-Class has enough seating space for five people. If you prefer an executive style 4-seat arrangement, simply let us know and we’ll accommodate your request. Passengers in the back seats of the S-Class enjoy a center console complete with storage compartments and dedicated controls. Additional niceties include chilled/heated cupholders, folding tables, HDMI ports and USB ports.

The S-Class has Ample Space for Family, Friends and Cargo

The S-Class has a trunk with 12.9 cubic feet of cargo room. The cabin is also quite spacious, providing slightly more than 42 inches of headroom in the front and 39.4 inches of headroom in the back. Legroom in the front is 41.7 inches. Shift to the back and you’ll be able to stretch out your legs across 43.8 inches of space. The Maybach model features a 7-inch extension to the wheelbase ensuring the passengers in the back can recline in complete comfort.
